Crikey, this KT Tuesday has come round quick.
Well it’s been a funny old week for lots of reasons, so I think this one could be a little thin on the ground.
We did however head into the studio this past weekend for a full day of practice. I think me and Spice got there around 11.30am and Grace and Jake had already set up the room as they arrived slightly earlier.
The last time we practised was in the Stafford studio before the Hairy Dog in Derby which actually seems ages ago.
It was nice to be back in Birmingham and in the studio. We ran through the set a few times then we started working on a new song. Which I gotta say, after the special ingredients of Spice, Jake and Grace it sounded pretty damn good in my opinion.
So we can’t wait to take the new song to the stage.
Do I say the name of it? I don’t even know if I should... I mean it did have a working title, but I think the name is good to go.
I did think about a sneak preview of lyrics. Perhaps that could be a new feature once the Flashback Series finishes. I have no clue, we will have to wait and see. But I do like hearing back stories to songs so think this could be a good idea.
I know the rest of the band are still working on there bits for the website. Hey also don’t forget Grace has some cool videos on her biography page too with G-Race plays. These can also be found on our Official Wild Strays Youtube Channel.
Anyway digress, or am I just waffling to make this dairy entry slightly longer :)
Shhh I just say it quietly.. The new song is called Broken Glass. But don’t tell anyone ;)
Anyway we packed up our gear and briefly chatted to Rob, then left the studio just gone 8pm. We spoke outside in the car park for a bit and then all headed home.
We are all excited for the next couple of gigs. Especially being across two different counties in the space of two weeks.
I think we are really keen to see who is the loudest Strays, the ones from Staffordshire or the ones from the West Midlands.
I believe its being called The War of the Wilds. I’m sure we will keep you posted of the results.
Don’t forget tickets can be bought from our website for the special price of just £4. So get yourself along, jump around to some cool local bands and come and say hello.
Right I think i'm done..I’m going to sign off.
I did warn you it was short.
But don’t worry, this Saturday we take to the stage in our home town of Stafford so I’m sure there will be plenty to talk about next week.
Stay tuned to our Face-book page for running times.
Until then,
See you Saturday, and as always.
Keep it Wild.
