Hey,
Welcome to my first ever “Own Personal Tale” entry.
If you know me in person, you will know I like talking.
So I thought it would be cool to share my little space on this website, writing a blog / diary and share a insight to what’s happening in and around the Wild Strays from my perspective.
I have no clue where this is going to go, but I’m sure there will be some fun stories along the way.
I’m also looking forward to seeing what the other members bring to the table.
So without further ado.
Welcome to my little page and I hope you can catch me every Tuesday for my update.
Same time and same place.
Well, this week, I feel I got so much to say about what has happened recently.
But as the weeks go by, I’m sure we can cover most of what’s going on.
However please hit that “Like” button on our Facebook or check into the website to see all breaking news first.
I’ll do my best to keep my blogs fairly short and to the point. However I have been known to waffle on sometimes :)
This week I would like to share a quick short story, it’s a little off topic, and is more of a back story.
But I may do this from time to time.
I moved to Birmingham in 2011 and at the time my partner had never been to a rock show.
I know pretty crazy huh.
So we booked tickets to see Halestorm, I think it was 2012
This was his first gig and mine for quite some time.
The venue was the Birmingham 02 Academy.
I remember my excitement running hand in hand up the stairs hearing the loud music and smiling with excitement as one of the support bands was sound checking.
The sound was so loud and I felt like I was home instantly.
Halestorm played an amazing show and in that moment, right there.
That made me want to find another band in Birmingham and get back onstage.
Skip forward a few years and another band later.
I’m so happy to be in the Wild Strays.
Our music has heart, stories and is full of all the colours and emotions of life and I love pouring my heart and soul into performing our set.
This week, we are playing the O2 Academy 3, and I am so excited to get to stand on that stage.
It’s going to feel weird playing at a venue that only a few years ago, in that same building.
I got my want and hunger to be back with a band and back onstage.
So here we are, almost a year later and with my best friends.
The Wild Strays are about to play Birmingham 02 Academy 3
I can’t wait for when our intro kicks in and we all run out on to that stage.
Get your self along to this gig, come and say hi and I very much look forward to next weeks entry where I’m sure there will be a story to tell
Till next time,
KT
