Hey and welcome back to another KT Tuesday’s
Although this one may be a little thin on the ground as i haven’t seen the rest of the Wild Strays for a week.
We decided because we have three gigs on the bounce starting from this Saturday.
It made sense for us, to all have this weekend off.
But don’t you worry, there is always something to talk about. I might chat about a previous gig, or a road trip. It could even be about how a member joined the band. In fact I may do a “Flashback Series” a kinda look over our shoulder diary entry. Or even a this time last year entry.. Who knows.
So this coming Saturday we head to the Actress and Bishop in Birmingham, supporting Dorja on their Gemini Tour.
Also on the Bill is; Air Drawn Dagger, Resurrection Men and Kanada.
We have never played at this venue before, so i can’t wait to check it out. Hopefully there will be plenty of room for us to run around on the stage.
It should be great fun, but make sure you get yourselves down early because we hit the stage at 7pm.
Tickets are just £5 and for 5 bands, that’s a bargain.
So come down, jump around and generally have a great time. We look forward to seeing you.
In other news I did help Spice move house last weekend. I couldn’t help him pack because.. well it’s his stuff and I have no idea where he wants it to go.
So I pretty much sat in his bedroom chatting and playing his acoustic guitar. Which I have to say, was a sweet guitar.
I really should get a electric acoustic guitar one day.
I mean I have a normal acoustic called Rocky. He’s red and black and is pretty beat up because I have taken it to work with me for the last two years.
Anyway I digress, we spoke about the up and coming gigs and the radio show in August. Then went we into a daydream chat about The Wild Strays future tour and world domination haha.
Once we moved all the stuff out of his room it was then off to his University to pick up his Drum Kit.
Of course there is always an adventure where ever we go.
This was no different.
As you can imagine all the doors of the music rooms were locked at the University especially being the holidays and this was a Sunday as well.
We managed to get through one door with his key fob but we couldn’t get into the room where his kit was.
Turns out they had reset all the key fobs or something.
So a bit of running around on campus trying to speak to or find security.
Spice ended up calling the main office, they said how would they know if it was indeed his Drum kit?
Spice said, “well I have pictures and even Youtube videos of me playing it”
None of this worked and after 15 minutes on the phone we ended up leaving it there for another day. Still it kept us busy and out of trouble.
So that’s it from me this week.
Hope you have a good one and we look forward to seeing you all down the Actress and Bishop for this Saturday’s gig.
Until then,
Keep it wild,
KT x
